Our mountain biking program leaders are trained by Giant’s ‘Sprockids’ program to provide structured skill-building, basic bike maintenance, and wicked trail riding.
‘Sprockids’ provides youth opportunities to experience one of the Cariboo’s best recreational activities and allows key relationships between workers and youth to develop.
This program is FREE but parents/guardians must sign a waiver before youth can participate
Youth get to enjoy some of the best mountain biking terrain in the Cariboo and are led by experienced riders who teach them riding techniques, safety, and basic on-trail repairs. This program is loads of fun!
Rides leave from the Boys and Girls Club (across from Safeway) – most rides are about 2 hours long, however, sometimes the intermediate/advanced level rides are up to 3 hours (talk to the ride leader for more details)!
Our Club provides equipment (bikes and helmets) if youth require it.
The ride schedule is as follows:
Spring/Fall rides (when school is in session)
|Intermediate/Advanced Rides: (suggested ages 12-18)||TBA|
|Beginner rides: (suggested ages 7-11)||TBA|
Summer Rides (when school is not in session)
Registration Information – Both programs are FREE!
Beginner Rides (suggested ages 7-11)
Intermediate/Advanced Rides – Our intermediate/advanced rides (suggested ages 12-18) are drop-in style! Parents/guardians must fill about a registration form prior to a youth participating in this program but then the youth are free to drop-in as they are able.
