Community Education & Prevention

The Club is contracted by the Interior Health Authority to deliver community-wide services regarding education about HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. Our worker is in the schools and working with other community partners and agencies giving presentations, with prevention as the goal. Part of the program includes Safe, Strong, Solid, which address the issue of individual self-esteem and self-perception in order to help youth develop the personal skills to make healthy choices in their lives.

We are excited to be partnering with community agencies to provide information and prevention material on fentanyl.

We have also recently begun an education program to help prevent human trafficking. This often hidden problem touches more young people than most members of the community realize. It is our aim to educate young people on safe relationships,  safe online habits, and other important factors for staying healthy.
