Community Education and Awareness
The Club is contracted by the Interior Health Authority to deliver community-wide services regarding education about HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. Our worker is in the schools and working with other community partners and agencies giving presentations, with prevention as the goal. Part of the program includes Safe, Strong, Solid, which address the issue of individual self-esteem and self-perception in order to help youth develop the personal skills to make healthy choices in their lives.

Our Aids Community Action Program, (ACAP), funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, compliments our HIV/AIDS Prevention Program by raising community awareness about persons living with HIV/AIDS and the challenges and barriers they face. The program includes workshops for community members, service delivery workers and youth, and involves a youth leadership team who plan activities through our youth centre and at their schools.
